AMERICAN AUTO MAGS' CRUISE
DECEMBER 6th, 2006

We set off from the office about 5.30 as usual and the drive to the M6 wasn't bad
but then we hit gridlock...We didn't get to the Nags Head til 6.35 !
Manchester United were playing in the European Cup ( is that right ? )
and it was bumper-to-bumper the whole way.
About half a mile from the pub, Cameron's mobile rang and it was Kev Swindley
just wandering where we were. We told him we were just about 15 minutes away
and when we actually arrived, there was a drink waiting for us - thanks Kev, it was
more than welcome.
One little funny story. We saw various fellas jumping out of cars and running
behind hedges to relieve themselves. no problem cos the traffic was hardly moving.
But then, one poor lad disappeared behind the bushes just as the traffic
started to move . . and kept moving. Well, this fella did what he had to do,
but when he got back to the road, all he could see was his 'ride'
disappearing into the distance ! He started running, but the traffic kept moving.
This was just before we reached the pub and, after perhaps a quarter of a mile,
he was still trying to catch up as we pulled off the road.
Hope he didn't have to run all the way to Old Trafford !

Gotta say, now we were aware of the traffic situation and the fact that the weather
had been rain & shine, on and off, all day long, we didn't think
there would be many folk coming out . . how wrong we were !

Andy is usually one of the first to arrive and tonight was no exception.

I told Brad that I'd taken a photo of his car at the last Cruise but
I didn't like the angle I'd got ; it just wasn't right.
Tonight, I think I got it spot-on !

Although he loves his Cougar, Barrie also enjoys the heater in in his PT

I took this first photo and then Cam took another
later on. Looks impressive wherever you stand.

I know that this belongs to Simon & Louise. . . . . . . . . . . Martin, is this ( one of ) yours ?

The good news is, I'm definitely getting a tripod for Xmas. If the shot wasn't so fuzzy, you would see that it's NOT raining . . yet.
