AMERICAN
AUTO MAGS
CRUISE

July 2006

Here we are in the middle of a heatwave.
We close the office and it is scorching outside.
Into the car, windows wide open
and off we go . .

. . about three miles from the cruise venue, we can see a major dark cloud ahead.

Just as we arrive and park up,
it starts to rain . .

Jeeeeeeeeeezz,
it's **%^& pouring down !

Amazingly, it's ten to six and
a
Viper is already there,
quickly joined by the Ford Torino
and the Shoebox Chevy.

As you can see, we all stand in the porch and, as I'm supposed to be guiding cars in, pray for the rain
to stop.

It does, for about 30 seconds and then it starts again.

If I say 'stair rods' and 'cats & dogs', you'll probably get the idea.

And then . . . it stops.

We're hearing stories of driving through flooded roads and
motorway junctions being closed

but here at the Nags Head,
although the sky is not exactly blue,
it's not raining, yippee !

and soon a trickle of cars start to arrive . .

. . .who's a happy little girl then ?

I've seen ( and admired )
this car several times at the cruise
but not met the driver and his son
until tonight.

. . classic and modern styles,
both got class !
