December 27th 2011 Midday Meet
Hey, it's the day after Boxing Day. The sun's out for the moment but it's a bit cool.
Great to see the cars in the daylight - roll on the Spring / Summer !
Half came in their Yanks / Rods, the other half in their daily drivers; great to see everyone.
Some people had come a fair distance . . . .
that red Chevy truck - it was the first time that couple had been to the Meet and they came up from Denbigh.
Another couple ( well, they're not 'a couple' but they're both into their cars ) came over from Yorkshire !
Today they were in his daily but usually, he drives a rod and she, a '63 Chevy station wagon .
To be honest, I had expected more people and it seems we would have had more
there
if I had put notification
on the Cruise page of this site and not just on the Update page.
I'll remember next year !
Still, if we lacked in numbers, we more than made up for it in conversation !
I took a few pics and here they are . . . .

it does look a bit bleak when there are no leaves on the trees . . .
I think , in it's time, this was a runaway sales success for Ford and I can understand why . . . .
this is the Chevy truck that came up from Denbigh . . . .
yes, it has 'muscle' written all the way through it . . . . . .
pretty as a picture . . . . .

as you can see, Mustangs were well represented . . . .
hey, that's mine . . . .
and so were Mopars . . . .
when you see me stood at the side of this, you realised how much it's lifted; love it . . . .
Graeme from the AAC NW came with his lads and his new 'baby'. He's a real proud dad !
It was hard to get a photo cos there was a crowd around this for most of the time - you can see why . . .
Bob's pride and joy . . .
so why the pictures of 'ordinary' cars ? Well, that's what half the folk came in and I was glad they came,
irrespective of the car .
By 2pm it had got pretty cold and it wasn't long before everyone was heading back
home
to a hot drink and a lean against the radiator !
Thanks for coming everyone.
Hope you all have a peaceful and prosperous
New Year.
See you on Wednesday, 4th January 2012
